Writing is a solitary process – but you don’t have to do it alone. Tutor led writing retreats and courses give you the chance to share that journey, while at the same time develop your writing skills.
Whether it’s your first short story or your tenth novel, a writing retreat can refresh and inspire.
Choose a residential tutor led retreat – or a day long course, to escape the pressure of everyday life and focus on your writing…
In 2019, the Fiction Tutors Spring Writing Retreat will be held from the 8th to the 10th of March. This weekend retreat is aimed at new writers and published authors who are starting a new work and need to focus on story structure, characters and writing basics.
The second retreat in 2019 will be from October 11th to the 13th. This course would suit both new and more experienced writers, and will help you develop your work, looking at plot, character arc, setting and point of view.
In both retreats, tutorials and exercises will help you cultivate the skills to complete and polish a manuscript to a publishable standard. We will look at your work and offer constructive advice on avoiding plot holes, saggy middles and other writing pitfalls.
